Meeting at the Bellevue Botanical Garden


Our June chapter meeting is coming up this Thursday, June 8, at the BBG. This month's talk is by David Charlton, who will be speaking on 'The Pyrenees'. David is part of NARGS national's speaker tour, and his talk is one you don't want to miss! Please also take note of the plant list from David's presentation, which was attached to the meeting reminder email.

Here is some info about David from this month's newsletter:

David Charlton is our National traveling speaker. He hails from Derbyshire, England. He has led mountain flower walks for Collett’s Mountain Holidays in the Dolomites, the Pyrenees and the Picos de Europa. He is co-author with Cliff Booker of “Mountain Flowers--the Dolomites” and “Mountain Flowers--Pyrenees & Picos”, a pocket field guide to the flora of these fascinating mountains, where the flowers of Northern Europe meet those of the Mediterranean region.

He will be speaking to our chapter on Thursday and over the next two weeks, the Vancouver Island Rock & Alpine Garden Society, the Alpine Garden Club of British Columbia, the Alaska Rock Garden Society of NARGS, the Columbia-Willamette Chapter and the Siskiyou Chapter. Remember, social time begins at 7.00 pm, and the meeting and presentation start at 7.30 pm!
